Studying in Harbin — what matters

The most "Russian" city in China, with the country's strongest engineering school. Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT) is China's MIT: aerospace, aviation, robotics. The city was built by Russians in the early 20th century, and Russian architecture is still everywhere. Winters are Siberian, but that's also part of the appeal — the famous Ice Festival happens every January.
