China leads the world in AI publications: since 2022 it has out-published the US 1.7×. That means a master's in machine learning here puts you straight inside live research groups at Baidu, Huawei, Alibaba and ByteDance.

What your portfolio must contain
- 2–3 GitHub projects with proper READMEs, ideally one with a working demo.
- Kaggle (bronze/silver) or ICPC participation.
- Python + PyTorch/TensorFlow + at least one of: Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn.
- One publication (even on arXiv) — adds +20% to your odds.
The financial side
